Sounds like a smart idea for smart School Officials to meet to discuss public health threats and appropriate response. Interestingly enough the Palo Alto School District had an emergency meeting this week and they decided to do a flexible attendance flexible learning policy and practice..... and NOT a wholesale cancellation of classes.

"Patriotic Observance" is not "cryptic"; it states clearly that schools will be closed, and by implication places where adults are in close proximity, such as bars (someone told me that his fave pub was "hopping" last night. Guess you can't un-teach stupidity.)
