Comment policy

Comments to the Davisite are moderated in accordance with the following guidelines:

  • Keep posts on topic.
  • Do not make personal attacks against other commenters or other Davisites.  Do not reveal information about them that they would not want to have revealed or published in a public location. More generally, direct your comments to the issues at hand rather than making them about other commenters. It's fine to disagree, but please do so respectfully.
  • Do not use hate speech. We encourage bold, potentially unpopular opinions, but attacking others or posting offensive comments on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender and gender expression, age, visible and non-visible disability, nationality, sexual orientation, citizenship status, veteran status, religious/non-religious, spiritual, or political beliefs, socio-economic class, or any of the other differences among people which have been excuses for misunderstanding, dissension or hatred is not allowed.
  • Do not post advertisements or self-promotional material.

These policies help to ensure that the Davisite can be a place for educational, fun, and constructive dialogue.

The Davisite is an all-volunteer organization, so it may sometimes take awhile for your comment to appear.
